Dr John completed his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Bachelor of Dental Science degrees at Melbourne University in 1994.
After graduating, he commenced practice in regional Victoria and subsequently held the position of Head of the Dental Department of Bairnsdale Hospital. He later worked in The Department of Oral Surgery at Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and Community Health, treating highly anxious/phobic patients, at the same time, mentoring new dental graduates.
Dr John has extensive experience in all facets of general dentistry with focus in Orthodontics, Implant Dentistry, and Oral Surgery. He keeps abreast of the changes in dentistry, which has considerably evolved through his years of practice. He completed a 2 year postgraduate course in Orthodontics with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars in 1999. He also took clinical updates and courses on clear aligners, which has given him valuable skills and experience in traditional orthodontic braces and clear aligners. With this added knowledge he can confidently discuss and recommend the best treatment options for his patients.
Dr John has been placing Dental implants for more than 10 years. In addition, he often assists younger colleagues with their cases.
He is a member of the International Team of Implantologist (ITI). He has been a member of the Australian Dental Association since 1995.
Dr John loves travelling with his family. He has two sons whom he proudly taught how to drive and ski. Every year, they enjoy long drives to the Victorian alpine region for a ski break. His other interests include wood work and playing squash.
